The speed of a torrent is not only dependent on your connection, but on the health of a torrent. In qbittorrent setting go to connections and paste the number in the box for the port used for incoming connections. Right click on the pia icon in the task bar (bottom right) and copy the port that it is forwarding to (probably a 5 digit number less than 65000). :)Įnable port forwarding in the pia app and choose the closest server with port forwarding enabled (it should do this automatically). If you can provide a helpful direction to head in, or a set of instructions I can likely follow them without too much of a disastrous result. I generally leave my torrents running over night while I am asleep so that I am not doing anything else on the computer. If you need any more information or anything please ask as I tried to provide everything up front. I have attached some charts showing the speeds of what I am getting as well as the settings for qBittorent and Private Internet Access (PIA) which is the VPN that I use. I am hoping that someone here would be able to help me with the correct settings or if I've done something obviously stupid that I am just not seeing. I have gone through a lot of setting adjustments and changes and haven't seen improvement. Recently my qBittorrent speeds have dropped very drastically when downloading torrents and I haven't been able to find a good answer online. I know how to fundamentally get them working, but nothing really beyond that. I am not very knowledgeable with VPNs and torrenting.
